GMT900 vs 100-Series. Fight.
Lexus vs Yukon Denali.

I’m going Lexus, where at least I can semi-blend in with the locals around the world and not look like a US government
mercenary
contractor; or in the US, like every single local cop in my area. Which wouldn't be so bad, really.

There is no comparison, the Lexus will always be a much superior vehicle.

Lexus. No contest for me.

This is like comparing really good apples to bigger but not as tasty apples that rot faster.

Because I’m a filthy contrarian: A GMT900. But a very specific GMT900, a black Escalade ESV Platinum, because fuck you that’s why.
It doesn’t really help that the 100 is probably my least favourite LC.

Hm.. let me think, do I want to look like a Saudi sheik or like a US ambassador?? I’ll go with ambassador.

Lexus...

Denali. I’m not going offroad. I want something super comfortable to haul the kids and tow a camper with.

Counter-point: I want to look like a contractor/cop.
Back in the 80's my dad drove a dark blue Caprice with the police interceptor package. He also got a G tag - apparently all Maryland State Police unmarked car license plates started with the letter G, at least back then. By luck of the draw he also got a plate that started with G. Never got pulled over in it, and said one time a trooper who was shooting radar stop and saluted him as he blasted through the speed trap.

More like Blackwater (or whatever they call themselves these days) vs. the UN blue helmets.

Probably more accurate

My bro-in-law drives an early 2000s Panther, cop package, white with black vinyl and no carpet. Still has the spotlight on it. Yeah, everyone slows way down around him, then usually gives him an "eat sh*t" look when they get closer. Never a dull moment driving a cop car.

Yeah, old cop cars are great.

My brother has a GMT900 Denali, and even though it has 200,000 less miles than my 80 series, its been in the shop more. So, nope to the GMC all day every day.

I love GMT 900s but they have a penchant for eating lots of oil without telling anyone. So a 100 series Lexus then...

The 900 is such a terrible generation. The build quality is terrible, the reliability isn’t great, and they are only okay looking. The 800 was so much better.

Working for a GM dealer, I’d have to with the GMT900. Specifically one of my customer’s cars. It is perfect every time I see it.
